Our Special Commitment

Our firm has a special commitment to drastically reducing accidents and injuries caused by drinking and driving. Our partner, Steven Benvenisti has dedictated his career to both representing people injured as a result of drunk driving; and to spread his message of responsible drinking through public speaking engagements on television and radio. He also speaks at schools in Teaneck, and throughout Bergen County, and at conventions, community meetings and other gatherings.

Back in 1987, as a college student enjoying Spring break, Steven was struck by a drunk driver while Steven was crossing a Street. He was thrown 75 feet into the air and suffered catestrophic injuries . He was left in a coma with two broken legs and on life support. When he awoke, he suffered brain damage and spent the next 9 months in a hospital. Fortunately, after 20 surgeries and thanks to the good services of many rehab professionals, Steven made a full recovery and complete recovery.

The Benvenisti Oath:

“If I should make the decision to drink alcohol, I promise to make the decision not to operate a motor vehicle.”

A responsible drinker plans in advance not to drink and drive. He or she makes certain that there will always be a designated driver. A responsible drinker will make certain that his or her friend who may have had too much to drink will not get behind the wheel. A responsible drinker will make a “No Questions Asked Contract” with their parents to always be there for them should they drink too much.
